EQ Basics
Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a fairly new field. An emotionally intelligent person can better manage stress, anger, frustration, etc. This leads to efficient and effective communication with clients, superiors, colleagues, subordinates and others. Emotionally intelligent people know and understand how to use their instincts and to avoid impulse. This in turn leads to harmony within an organization and with the clients.
IQ scores talk about the intelligence of a person. However, a person with a high IQ scores may not always be successful; it is the EI that matters. People with high intelligence may be able to solve complex problems, but unless they also have a good EI, they do poorly in life.
EI is embedded in all our training programs, however simple they may be. Emotionally Intelligent employees know better how to deal with stressful situations, how to manage time, how to deal with their selves as well as people around them.
